The Department of Information at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain held a symposium entitled ** "The tree is a permanent tender ... we plant it for our future" ** on March 12, 2025The symposium was moderated by Prof. Dr. Abdul Amir Al -hayali and the teacher Dr. Jamal Al -Majmely where the importance of afforestation was discussed as one of the sustainable development goals.

The symposium dealt with the responsibility of each individual and an institution in society towards afforestation, as an effective way to preserve the environment. The speakers pointed out that the afforestation contributes to the purification of the air, the softening of temperatures, the reduction of desertification and dust storms, in addition to keeping the soil from erosion. 

This symposium came to emphasize the vital role of the trees in achieving the environmental balance and ensuring a sustainable future for future generations.

The Department of Information at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Rafidain organized a symposium entitled "The Impact of Digital Media on the Behavior of Young", presented by Dr. Hassan Kazem Al -Suwaidi, Director of the Institute of Media Training in the Iraqi Media Network. The session was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Sadiq.  

The symposium dealt with several important axes, including the dangers of social media, and how to confront the cultural invasion through media education. It also discussed the role of the family in following up the children, and the role of the state in reducing the descending content in which these sites are spreading.  

The symposium aimed to raise awareness about the negative effects of digital media, and to provide solutions to enhance the positive use of these platforms, in order to enhance the cultural and social values ​​of young people.

At a joyful academic wedding, the Media Department - Journalism at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain celebrated the graduation of a batch of 2025, amid a large public presence of the families of the graduates who shared their children the joy of achieving this distinguished scientific achievement.

The ceremony witnessed a wonderful festive atmosphere, as chants and zargdides were celebrated to celebrate a new generation of journalists, holders of the Free Word Brigade and the owners of the "Fourth Authority". The ceremony included moments of pride and happiness as students expressed their happiness at ending their academic journey and their willingness to go into the media work with professionalism and responsibility.
