The tree is a symbol of giving, goodness and beauty

Its fruits are fantasy, their shadows and luxury, and its vegetables facilitate the viewers ... it is a source of life, and a title for environmental sustainability. Based on these values, the Faculty of Humanities / Department of Religions and Civilization organized an educational symposium on the occasion of the Iraqi afforestation day, which falls on March 12, 2025, as part of a series of events launched by the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain on this occasion.

The symposium was moderated by:

Where the lecturers dealt with the importance of afforestation in preserving the environmental balance, the role of religions and civilizations throughout history in encouraging trees cultivation, in addition to the positive impact of afforestation in climate improvement and reducing pollution. The national initiatives were also discussed, including the initiative of Prime Minister Eng. Mohamed Shi'a Al -Sudani to grow five million trees and palm trees, and the role of universities in supporting these efforts.

This event comes within the framework of the commitment of the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain 

 to spread environmental awareness and enhance the culture of sustainability between its students and its employees, believing that every tree we plant today is an investment in a more green and beautiful future.
