About the College

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Bilad Alrafdain is one of the modern colleges. The college was established in the academic year 2018-2019 due to the urgent need to prepare pharmacists and chemists who have the scientific and technical competence to perform pharmaceutical services and chemical analyses in Iraq.

The college has been able to establish solid scientific foundations to become a scientific institution that provides society with pharmacists with scientific professional skills in the field of various pharmaceutical sciences, drug control, in addition to the professional skills of graduates of this department who work in the governmental and private sectors in the field of dispensing medicines to patients and following up on their health status, as well as in the fields of quality control of medicines, laboratory and clinical analyses, drug and poison inquiries, pharmaceutical medical research, and pharmaceutical industries.

The duration of study in the College of Pharmacy is five years, and graduates of this college are awarded a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences after successfully completing 195 (one hundred and ninety-five) accredited units distributed over ten semesters, including the training period necessary to practice the profession during the summer in pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals and private pharmacies at a minimum.

The college has (12) laboratories for preliminary studies equipped with the latest scientific devices and diverse and qualified pharmaceutical and scientific cadres to supervise them.

The department strives with rapid steps to always advance the scientific level of its professors and students and keep pace with the latest global scientific and pharmaceutical developments
